Spontaneously thinking of others… | 无时无刻地在为他人着想……

(By Pastor Loh Seng Piow)

Last night after dinner, His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche took a stroll from inside Kechara Forest Retreat to the entrance and saw this van parked at the entrance selling groceries and toiletries, so Rinpoche asked how many foreign workers were there in Kechara Forest Retreat, and bought 16 sets of gloves, shampoo, soap, shaving razor, eggs, peanuts etc. to be given to the workers. Rinpoche always has others’ welfare in His mind, even if He has never met them before. The interests of others always arise in His mind spontaneously.

Wow!! Rinpoche really always thinks a lot about others.

Rinpoche is kind in many ways. For example he bought things from the man outside the entrance of kechara forest retreat. Rinpoche also bought all the packet tissues from a man in brickfields so that he can get home early to have a rest and to be with the family. Rinpoche is always very considerate and compassionate to others. He offers help unconditionally.

Rinpoche has assisted uncountable number of people wherever he went and whenever he saw people who need help.

We often forget how much care matters.

These young men left their families to work hard in a foreign land where they are treated as “different”. For these young individuals to receive kindness is most refreshing.

As I have the opportunity to observe their work daily in KFR, I have the audacity to say that this care from Rinpoche has fueled their sense of responsibility towards their work in KFR. Trust me when I say that payment of salary is not enough a drive to develop responsibility towards one’s work.

Not only did Rinpoche’s kindness touch the workers in KFR, it also helped the elderly gentleman who had to work in the middle of the night when it was raining quite heavily to collect some income and, perhaps, go home earlier, away from the rain to the warmth of his family.

Thank for Seng Piow sharing this article. Rinpoche is always so loving and caring. He not only cares for people who he knows, he also cares a lot for people he doesn’t know at all.thank you rinpoche so much for love care. we very lucky to have rinpoche thank you agen rinpoche.

  7. henry ooi on Mar 15, 2013 at 2:02 pm

Rinpocheś kindness, care and love to all comes naturally from Rinpocheś compassion. Rinpocheś compassion is second nature and it is spontaneous, I and many others in Kechara have seen it with our own eyes. Rinpoche always teaches: Give and never expect anything in return, not even a ¨Thank you.¨

  8. William on Mar 9, 2013 at 8:47 am

Rinpoche is always caring in all aspects, no matter who and where, Rinpoche will help and give to others. In the least expected, or at least I do not expect it, Rinpoche will show his care in the most open and generous ways. In this case, the workers in KFR. Thank you RInpoche for showing me that giving is boundless and has no ending.

  9. Sean Wang on Mar 8, 2013 at 6:42 pm

Rinpoche always cares for every sentient being, even if they have never met. I am always a receiver of Rinpoche’s love and Rinpoche always shows that he is a genuine human being that is void from unnecessary samsaric agendas.

  10. Sock Wan on Mar 8, 2013 at 8:56 am

Rinpoche is always so loving and caring. He not only cares for people who he knows, he also cares a lot for people he doesn’t know at all. He always makes sure we are okay. Not only to human, Rinpoche’s love extend to animals also. He is the perfect example of how a loving person is. If everyone start giving a little, our lives will become better and better.

  11. Su Ming on Mar 7, 2013 at 2:14 pm

As far as I can recall since I joined the Kechara Organisation 4 years ago, this is like the 1000th or more times Rinpoche has been spontaneously giving and buying things for staff/people Rinpoche does not even know or come into contact with.

I work closely with Rinpoche, I have seen so many aspects of Rinpoche which is consistent. I have also seen when others criticize and complain about Rinpoche action which most do not see the actions of Rinpoche and how much he does everyday behind the scenes.

Therefore, to me I have stop judging people. Rinpoche has taught me that before I judge, look at the result the person has produced, look at his surrounding and people they attract. I have seen how wrongly Rinpoche has been judged and I would not want this to happen to Rinpoche.

“if I can never repay this kindness I’ve received, then the least I can do is to appreciate and have great gratitude towards the one person that have seen more in me than anyone has ever did.”
What Sarah Yap commented was so so true, not only that we must always show gratitude towards Rinpoche, in order to repay Rinpoche’s kindness, we must always remember to repay gratitude to every person that help us , and also be kind to others and to animals.

Best offering to our guru is the MIND TRANSFORMATION, I always keep this in mind and working towards this as my ultimate goal.

Thank you Rinpoche for always taking care of everyone. Showing compassion through action !

The difference Rinpoche and us, is that Rinpoche’s kindness radar is always on and scans boundlessly. To Rinpoche, everyone is important and deserving of kindness regardless of who they are and what form they take. Most of the time, there is no way for recipients of Rinpoche’s kindness to return in kind. The student of Rinpoche all experience this.

Usually people give gifts only on “special” days and they pay special attention on choosing gifts to give to people that they can benefit from but this is not the case here. How many times have we all driven passed those whom we can be kind to, but it never occurred for us to, because we are so preoccupied with our own thoughts.

What us very heart warming is that Rinpoche personally gets involved in the choosing and buying of these things. Kindness goes all the way here. This also reminds me of the time when Rinpoche walked into a restaurant supposed for dinner and ended up buying all the live fishes in the tank and mobilized students to release them back into their natural habitat.

Rinpoche is so kindness and compassion . Always think and help other peoples, we are so fortunate that have caring and blessing from Rinpoche . I’m really appreciate , thank you Rinpoche .

As our Guru, “Dharma is always in Rinpoche, and Rinpoche is Dharma.”
Rinpoche has once said that if we have experienced some sort of compassion, care and concern for others arisen from practice, we will never feel hesistant to help others. We will see our lives joyfully and without effort, bring other people’s happiness that’s immediate and also lasts, and such action/practice automactically makes our mind becomes lighter. From the contemplation of giving hope, kindness, shelter and good purposes to others, our awareness arise. From this, we will automatically engage our body, speech and mind for others’ happiness and comfort in this life, hoping to be possibly extended bigger and bigger into future lives too! THANK YOU, Seng Piow for the sharing.

Generosity is the first paramita. Rinpoche has always taught us to be generous, to be caring and give, not only materially, but also mentally and emotionally. When we give, we overcome outer and inner miserliness.

  18. Sheryl KH (JB) on Mar 4, 2013 at 10:39 pm

Whenever I read story like this, it never fails to touch my heart deeply. Yes, very simple action and yet it comes from true concerns which I nowadays find so hard to find.

For all of us who live in the cities, we have endless things to busy about. And even when we seems to have finished what we need to do for the day, we cannot rest our minds, we have to be on constant ‘worry’ mode because we are afraid to become losers.

How many people will stop to care for others? I wonder.

All people who have their paths crossed with Tsem Rinpoche are blessed. Rinpoche always gives, this is what I always see.

  19. Cliff on Mar 4, 2013 at 9:42 pm

Rinpoche’s compassion for others goes beyond any normal human being. Rinpoche has everyone on his mind and always wants to care for them and see them grow. Whether they are close to Rinpoche or a stranger, Rinpoche knows how and finds the best way to benefit that person. The workers are very lucky and fortunate to get the blessings from the things Rinpoche bought for them and I’m sure it’ll benefit them greatly.

Since I was young Rinpoche has always taken care of me, whether directly or indirectly through my family, Rinpoche has always been there for me and my family. Bringing me close to the dharma, teaching me values, being a good person, caring for others, loving my family, etc. I am forever grateful for Rinpoche taking care of me.

  20. Julia Tan on Mar 4, 2013 at 8:53 pm

Rinpoche always think of benefiting others. Everyone in Kechara received and experienced Rinpoche’s unconditional love and care one way or another. Rinpoche always make sure everyone benefited in the process of giving. In this case, the store owner were very happy to closed some business in the rainy evening and the workers received the food and sundry items the next day so that they could have new gloves, new clothes, eggs and shampoo to use. We as Rinpoche’s students learned how Rinpoche care about others. Rinpoche never expected any return from them but to make sure people around Him are ok.

Rinpoche’s care and love can be very special and strange! After being Rinpoche’s students for many years, I realized that Rinpohe’s love can be roughful and fierce sometime which we may not understand at that moment but we learned later that Rinpoche uses many ways to love a person or His students according to what this person need at that time. Rinpoche do not care about how people think about Him cause deep inside our Guru’s heart, He only care and make sure we all ok always.

  21. Pastor Chia on Mar 4, 2013 at 8:33 pm

Thank for Seng Piow sharing this article. Yes,Rinpoche always show his care and love to people around him. He always concern others need more than himself. This has been consistent for so many years and since his young when he practice dharma. Basically when someone suffering, rinpoche can’t stand and look when he saw someone is suffering. Beside that, Rinpoche always recuse and help animal at the street.

  22. Andrew Boon on Mar 4, 2013 at 6:32 pm

This was a truly wonderful evening. I was privileged to be one of the students that was with Rinpoche then. It’s these private moments that are very special!

What started as a quiet stroll down, what is to be called the Meditation Path of KFR (Kechara Forest Retreat), to the front of the property where the van was parked became a shopping extravaganza!

When we started our stroll it had begun to drizzle. It was a cooling but dark night. SP and I had to use the torchlight function of our phones to light our way. Rinpoche was sharing stories of his time in India and how walking the path and the darkness reminded him of Mundgod and how he loved the monasteries.

When we got to the entrance where we the van was, Rinpoche’s immediate thought was to get necessities for the foreign workers that are working very hard on the land. Rinpoche mentioned they work hard and they do not have much and are away from their families.

Literally come rain or shine, Rinpoche constantly has other’s interests and well being at heart. I have to pinch myself sometimes at how lucky and blessed I am to be privy to such compassion and love.

As I always say, if loving your ‘job’ makes it less of a ‘job’ and more of a passion. I reckon I have the greatest passion in this world!!!

  23. HelenaC on Mar 4, 2013 at 3:06 pm

Rinpoche is always caring and generous to everyone, it is beautiful that Rinpoche have bought the workers the things that they will need to use as they leave their home and came far to Malaysia and work, their family will wish they are well taking good care of too 🙂
    Thank you Rinpoche 🙂

Rinpoche’s style of care is very extraordinary, I could said Rinpoche is the kindest person that I have ever met. In Buddhism, generosity/giving is one of the main practice, and Rinpoche really practice it by body speech and mind.

Few years back when a group of us was in Thailand doing some projects, Rinpoche came across this old lady who sell lottery for living, Rinpoche purchase all her tickets that night. Most of the people buying lottery ticket and hoping earning some extra cash, but Rinpoche purchased all her ticket so she can have a full meal and go back and rest early. This is that kind of care that Rinpoche show us.

This is just one of the example out of many, Rinpoche will not care about color, age, race, but Rinpoche will help whoever need help. Many of us have received direct or indirectly help from Rinpoche.

But we must not stop there, beside inspired by Rinpoche, we must also transform it into action, can we start to care and love stranger beside us ? It’s time for us to learn and practice

Thank you Seng Piow for the sharing. We always believe that our Rinpoche is a kind and generous person. In giving sincerely before being ask is a true act of generosity through the compassion for others. Our Rinpoche was rewarding all those who is going to make the KFR manifest soon through their contribution of hard work day after day until the work is done,he never forget anyone who contribute to KFR.

  27. AdelineTan on Mar 3, 2013 at 7:35 pm

Rinpoche’s generosity and always helping people in need is well known to all the people who know Him. In this case, not only the workers in Kfr benefited from Rinpoche, this van salesman also benefited from the sales he got from Rinpoche as this is his livelihood. Thank you Seng Piow for posting this article.

  28. Lim Han Nee on Mar 3, 2013 at 6:43 pm

Thank you Seng Piow for sharing this with us. As always, even in the darkness of the night in a normally deserted place like the entrance to KFR, Rinpoche’s spontaneity in showing love and compassion clicks in. He chances upon a van selling groceries and toiletries and gives us a teaching on equal love for all – friends and strangers.

Rinpoche’s giving is boundless, not only in material things as in this instance, but also in the giving of the priceless Dharma. Here, on the blog for instance, his Dharma teaching is transmitted non-stop and is just a click away for anyone anywhere in the world.

Here, on the blog, Rinpoche gives us the Dharma to transform us into compassionate caring beings towards all sentient beings, both seen and unseen. This is the only way to go to reach peace and ultimate happiness. Yet our lazy unawakened minds are still trapped in our zones of comfort and ease.

There is no doubt at all that Rinpoche is the kindest, most generous and most caring person I have ever known. Never a minute go by that Rinpoche is not thinking of who to help and benefit.
My family have personally receive many many gifts from Rinpoche! There is nothing that Rinpoche wants in return except for us to grow spiritually because in the end Rinpoche wants us to be happy and for Him to know that we will be okay. Rinpoche gives so much be it materialistically or mentally. But most of all, thank you so much Rinpoche for the Dharma for it is the best gift in the world!

  33. Albert Ratchaga on Mar 3, 2013 at 11:23 am

In Rinpoche’s mind, everyone are as important, he will never leave someone to be there to suffers, Rinpoche will always find ways to bring that person out from that suffering.

to give, we must know what is suitable and practical to that person and not simply buy something to give, that is care, a gift should be able to help that person and not something that he will throw aside when he goes back.

When Rinpoche buy gift to a person, he will always get things that is needed instead of wanted. Wanting something is based on our desire, but needing it is something necessity in our daily life.

  35. philyong on Mar 3, 2013 at 2:46 am

Rinpoche has never met these workers before yet he cares for them so much. Rinpoche does this on a daily basis. Whenever he sees an opportunity to provide for others, he would do so immediately with no qualms at all.

I myself received my first gifts from Rinpoche even before we met. All I did was send a thank you message via email to Rinpoche for having the blog which is so rich in knowledge and he so kindly gave me tons of gifts!

I still remember what I received from Rinpoche. A Lama Tsongkhapa statue, pendant, mala, cap, books and DVDs.

That is a lot of items isnt it? What more I had never met Rinpoche prior to receiving these gifts.

So yes I am a living proof of Rinpoche’s utmost kindness and compassion! It is because of Rinpoche that I have the Dharma with me now.

  36. Jessica Yap on Mar 3, 2013 at 2:44 am

Rinpoche is always thinking of others first. Rinpoche’s kindness truly knows no bounds. Compassion at its best! Rinpoche leads by example and inspires other people like myself always! =)

I have gotten my fair share of gifts from Rinpoche too. It is not the value of the gifts, but the thought of Rinpoche selecting the gifts for me left me speechless. I bet everyone whom received gifts from Rinpoche felt that way too. =)

    Thank you so much, Rinpoche!

  37. beatrix ooi on Mar 3, 2013 at 1:47 am

Rinpoche has always been very kind and compassionate to others. These two qualities are proved by Rinpoche’s actions, not only words. There are people who keep bragging about themselves and never actually do anything. Rinpoche is definitely not that kind of person, Rinpoche will always do what He promised. I believe that more than half of the people who commented on this article have received(are receiving)a lot of care, love, gifts etc from Rinpoche, even I am. Rinpoche’s love and care to everyone are way beyond words, no words can describe them. Thank You Rinpoche for caring about our family. I will never forget that.
    Love, beatrix.

Rinpoche always showed to us how to care. And, H.E is a person that care many peoples. Amazing in Kechara for instant, even Facebook and blogs, he will send gifts to the overseas people to show the love and care. I come across, some facebook fans and blogs’s fans say thank you to Rinpoche for the precious gift.

  39. edward ooi on Mar 2, 2013 at 9:47 pm

Rinpoche is so generous and kind, Rinpoche never looked down on people and even to animals too. Rinpoche always give stuffs to peoples without hoping that one day Rinpoche will get something back. I wish that every living beings can be so generous and kind as Rinpoche.

  40. Joy on Mar 2, 2013 at 9:10 pm

It is well known that whoever cross paths with Rinpoche, directly or indirectly will be benefited one way or another. Rinpoche just never seize to stop thinking about others… to stop being concern, considerate about how another being feels… and consistently helps people. This is the kind of kindness that is very rare because personally I have not met anyone this consistent. We have heard of stories of kind beings and saints… but actually have a “real” person in front of you showing you kindness, now this is something you do not often come across and when you do… you know this is definitely no ordinary person. That is why KFR is happening, that is why Dharma is spreading here in Malaysia!

Rinpoche recently gave us a teaching on “reality” and from that teaching I can now understand how Rinpoche does this and how we can also do this if we abide in “reality” and not in the “past” or from “memory”. The thing is Rinpoche treats everyone fair because Rinpoche sees them as a “being” not from the perspective of what they are “labeled” and can treat or help them based on “NOW” who they are. That is why Rinpoche can help so many and more importantly how Rinpoche can forgive and will continue to help direct or indirectly. I hope one day soon we can all achieve this kind of compassion and view everything in “reality” and indeed even if we cannot totally do this now, we can try to “fake it” till we make it!

  41. Sharon Saw on Mar 2, 2013 at 9:06 pm

Rinpoche’s generosity knows no bounds – and it is not just the material but the spiritual which is a higher level. Rinpoche helps people on the street whom he will never see again so they cannot even repay Rinpoche because of the circumstances, yet Rinpoche gives in order to benefit that person at that time and i believe that Rinpoche is connecting with that being on an ultimate level by planting a Dharma seed. Rinpoche has said before that he doesn’t see us as an individual person but a mind, which is currently inhabiting this body but actually spans many eons of lives. If we have the good karma to be a student of Rinpoche, we can repay Rinpoche by the transformation of our minds. We should follow Rinpoche’s dharma teachings to become better people, and advance on our spiritual paths, because what Rinpoche really wants for all of us is to achieve liberation and ultimate happiness. Isn’t it ironic, that all Rinpoche wants is to benefit us ultimately? If we contemplate on this, we should without question or hesitation, follow Rinpoche’s example, be generous to others and develop the other of the 6 perfections which Rinpoche embodies.

  42. abby f on Mar 2, 2013 at 8:54 pm

So kind of Rinpoche! When Rinpoche bought groceries from the van, Rinpoche gave business to the owner and at the same time the 16 workers get the groceries! The welfare of others always come first to Rinpoche. This shows that Rinpoche cares for everyone no matter who you are and where you from!! This is equanimity. Rinpoche bought the workers what they need in their daily lives. The thoughtfulness Rinpoche has derived in love and kindness.

  43. Paris on Mar 2, 2013 at 8:33 pm

Thank you for sharing this Seng Piow. It’s always so touching to hear of how much Rinpoche is invested in the welfare of others, like you said, even with people he has never even met. This story is only one such example of the spontaneity that Rinpoche exudes in giving to others. Every single moment that Rinpoche is out and about, he is ‘scheming’ of ways to help others – looking out for things that people would need for their work and livelihood, how to improve things for people’s living conditions, or even something frivolous and cute that would bring an extra bit of cheer to someone’s day.

I don’t think there is a single person who has come into contact with Rinpoche who hasn’t been a fortunate recipient of this generosity. I have even seen how Rinpoche will go out of his way to buy extra snacks and drinks for sales assistants of shops, people he met only a few minutes ago – this is no other reason than because he understands how hard they work and how difficult it must be for them to be there are the shops all day, so he does something to bring a little cheer and help them get through the day.

  44. Girlie Ooi on Mar 2, 2013 at 6:51 pm

Rinpoche is always so generous to those around him. It does not matter whether you have met Rinpoche personally, His care goes out to you in more ways than one.

  45. David Lai on Mar 2, 2013 at 4:56 pm

Generosity is one of the very first quality of a Bodhisattva that we should all try to emulate. Rinpoche’s generosity surpasses all of ours very the simple fact that he does not need to think when he should be generous, he just is and that’s how he inspires people onto the Dharma.

Rinpoche is very spontaneous when it comes to benefiting others but when it comes towards benefitting himself, he takes ages to come to a conclusion on whether a gift should be given and at the back of our minds, we almost always have an agenda. It is because generosity is the first qualities we should strive to emulate. Although not a spontaneous endeavor but a contrived one is better than not practicing and focussing on our miserliness – the cause to take rebirth in the 3 lower realms as a ghost.

  46. Lucas Roth on Mar 2, 2013 at 4:22 pm

Rinpoche values a life very much from a teeny tiny and to a huge rhino, any form of life Rinpoche values and we thank him for all his love he has given to us.it was very thoughtful of Rinpoche to think of the workers when he saw this van. i hope the workers have a good time enjoying their new stuf from His Eminence Tsem Tulku Rinpoche.

  47. sarahyap on Mar 2, 2013 at 3:56 pm

There is not one person that Rinpoche has met that has never received Rinpoche’s kindness in whatever shape and form. It is through knowing how much Rinpoche help others, be it students that are close to Him or others that Rinpoche barely know personally, that I understand equanimity works on the highest level.

As a student of Rinpoche, I too have received so much from Rinpoche… I have received countless of gifts from Rinpoche and the most precious of all, I have the great fortune to receive Dharma directly from my Guru. These touched me deeply as I have never received so much from one person, especially when the fact is, I’m a nobody.

A few months ago a thought ran through my mind… how can I ever repay the kindness that I have received. We all know that the Dharma is the highest gift of all for it is through Dharma that we can realize and obtain lasting happiness… a gift that, sorry to say, even my parents are unable to give to me. And the truth is, no student can ever repay the kindness their Guru has shown to them. No amount of money, material gifts, nice words… can ever repay the kindness we receive from our Guru. Don’t you feel it strange, to have someone in your life that you can never repay their kindness no matter how hard you try?

So I though… well, if I can never repay this kindness I’ve received, then the least I can do is to appreciate and have great gratitude towards the one person that have seen more in me than anyone has ever did.

Thank you Seng Piow for sharing this wonderful story. It is great for everyone to know what Rinpoche does behind the scenes which often people are unaware of.

Rinpoche is always so kind, generous and compassionate to all around him.

Rinpoche made sure that the caretaker of KFR, Ah Ajai and his wife , has a comfortable home and proper shelter and facilities for the doggies ,before any of the projects started, He also ensured that all the construction workers on the site have plenty of water to drink and there is also lots of snacks and refreshments for them.

Rinpoche is the personification of Loving Kindness, Generosity and Compassion.

We are all so blessed and fortunate to have Rinpoche in our lives.

With deepest gratitude , thank you so much Rinpoche.

  49. Jay Jae on Mar 2, 2013 at 1:33 pm

Rinpoche values every single person that comes across his life. Whether Rinpoche has heard about the person, read about it or in this case workers who are working for KFR, Rinpoche places his concern for the receiver’s benefit.

I am also a receiver of Rinpoche’s love and care which enriches me by the day. Rinpoche walks the talk not only because he believes in the Dharma but the genuine care and concern comes from years of practice in which it becomes spontaneous. Rinpoche has given his life and chose to sacrifice his own interest for us here in Malaysia. It is only right we absorb the Dharma, transform and be an inspiration for many others to do the same.

The concept of rebirth has a long association with Buddhism. Rebirth in Buddhism refers to the teaching that the actions of a sentient being lead to a new existence after death, in an endless cycle called saṃsāra. One will begins a new life in a new body that may be human, animal or spiritual depending on the moral quality of the previous life’s actions. What they are reborn as depends on their actions in their previous life rather kamma. As a Buddhist we should believe in rebirth but still many people don’t . Buddha taught us that choices of rebirth make a difference and can shape many lifetimes. Buddhists believe that nothing that exists is permanent and everything will ultimately cease to be. There is a belief in rebirth

Against the odds two inspiring nuns fought all the way to become ordained, fighting for their rights to practice Buddhism . Interesting read of how they went through , bringing equality for women in Thailand. Buddhism is the predominant religion in Thailand. Officially, only men can become monks and novices in Thailand under a Buddhist order. The country does not recognize female monks or novices. In recent years, more Thai Buddhist women seeking to become full-fledged female monks, have been defying the tradition getting ordained overseas, in Sri Lanka or India. Buddhist women have been fighting for years for equality and social acceptance in Thailand. They just can’t be ordained by Thai monks. Ven. Dhammananda, 68 year old former university lecturer and activist became Thailand’s first Theravadin bhikkhuni after going the odds. Inspiring read biography on Ven. Dhammananda and Ven. Dr. Lee. They had gone through great hardships, discrimination and against the many odds in bringing equality to women in Buddhism in Thailand.
Thank you Rinpoche for this great inspiration post.

The unseen things are spiritual realities that are eternal and invisible to our physical eye. There are many forces and phenomena that are not visible to the naked eye. There are many things that humans cannot see yet there are some could see. For what is can be seen is only. Things do exist even we can’t see, believing their existence is our choice. Things that we can’t see in the world opens up a curiosity and exploration by some. Whether through scientific inquiry, or spiritual exploration, the pursuit of knowledge about the unseen can lead to profound insights about ourselves and the universe.
Malacca City is the historic capital of the coastal state of Malacca, in Malaysia serving as a link between east and west for over 500 years. Famous for breath-taking sights with rich heritage, ancient dark culture and history with many old centuries buildings with an interesting past and a colourful ghost story. For that reason alone it is worth visiting as is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site owing to its well-preserved historical center. There’s many historical mansions been passed down generation to generations and with many ghostly sighting by the locals and visitors. There’s the reason many unseen beings loitering and attached to these places. Such an interesting and incredibly creepy watching the video in this blog host by Li Kim. Li Kim had done a great work all along with her team to share with readers about our historic Malacca .
Thank you Rinpoche and Li Kim for this sharing.

Vajrayogini symbolizes the wisdom of all enlightened beings and embodies the impulse of inspiration that drives the Buddhas to attain the perfect enlightenment. Vajrayogini is one of the most effective practices for people today. We can make offerings such as gold or jewel offerings and so on. The offering of gold helps us to collect merits, spiritual attainments, gain a deeper connection to Vajrayogini. It also creates the causes to attain a Buddha’s body.
Make Offerings to Vajrayogini in Kechara Forest Retreat at Bentong is such an meritorious way for us to collect merits. All thanks to our Guru having conceptualised the idea of having a statue of Vajrayogini for everyone . Recitation of Vajrayogini mantra can be a powerful tool for self-transformation, healing and liberation from samsara.
Thank you Rinpoche for this sharing with details explanation .

Thank you, Rinpoche for sharing this insightful article. Life is short, and if we enjoy every moment of every day, then we will be happy no matter what happens or what changes along the way. What ever matter to us at the time of death is nothing. In the end, it’s not the years in our life that count it’s what you leave behind that matters. A great soul never dies. It brings us together again and again.Death is the golden key that opens the palace of eternity. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time. Learning Dharma and practicing dharma is the our choice that’s matter. Some of the key points to take notes, read, study the Lam Rim and apply it, engage in Sadhana daily and consistently. No one will help us at the moment of death but ourselves. Spiritual practicing is the best choice.

Well the size of Buddha statues in Tibetan Buddhism is important because it represents the Buddha’s immense ability and vast knowledge. Hence the Buddha statues hold the symbol of satisfaction within, peace and happiness. They are a symbol of inspiration for every human being. When we focus on the Buddha statues, it gives us inner peace that our mind, our heart and our soul gets enlightened.
We have are so fortunate seeing and circumambulating where the 9-foot Dorje Shugden statue and with 500 mantra stones engraved with Dorje Shugden’s sacred mantra. As Rinpoche had said before the bigger and more Buddha statues helps in planting seeds of enlightenment in people’s mind-streams. It also help us to generate as much merit and purify as much karma as possible. Merely by seeing all those big statues at Kechara Forest Retreat is a blessing.
    Thank you Rinpoche.

The 4th Tagpu Pemavajra Jampel Tenpai Ngodrub, most commonly known as Tagpu Dorje Chang, was a highly accomplished yogi Highly attained lama who had many authentic visions of the Buddhas and even travel astrally to receive direct teachings from them. His recognised line of incarnations stem all the way back to the 14th Century. He is generally regarded as such amongst Gelug lineage holders. He spent most of his time in a hermitage located above Sera Monastery, gave teachings and transmitted many vital practices and lineages to his foremost student Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche. Besides receiving the complete instructions of Dorje Shugden’s practice, Tagpu Dorje Chang had many other mystical experiences throughout his lifetime. Interesting read biography of a highly accomplished mahasiddha lama.

n Tibetan culture, it is a popular and customary practice for families to invite monks to perform spiritual ceremonies such as Trusol rituals. The monks have had the opportunity to offer such ceremonies for individuals or their families. Such ceremonies purify the elements of the environment which helps those living or visiting there to experience good health, success and well-being. The sacred ritual of ‘bathing’ the Buddhas and consecration through which negativities, sicknesses and obstacles will be cleared. Where by filling those areas with positive energies and good vibes through this Trusol consecration puja. Water is an essential part of this puja and symbolises the cleansing of all negativities and impurities. Through this puja it also pacifies local deities and other unseen beings in the surrounding areas. We are indeed fortunate that Tsem Rinpoche has taught Kecharians this practice and it has benefited many.

Reading this post had me gain some knowledge of Shifter Werewolves. Any article regarding rare creatures or paranormal articles are of my interest since young. In European folklore, a werewolf is a man who turns into a wolf at night and devours animals, people, or corpses but returns to human form by day. They have the ability to transform from an ordinary human appearance to a partially-lupine form with pointed ears, mutton chops, claws and fangs, and a ridged brow . Wow… werewolf tends to be vicious and unable to control his blood thirst. Their underlying common origin can be traced back to Proto-Indo-European mythology. In many depictions, these bloodthirsty beasts are evil where they kill animals and innocent people. They are humans who transition into wolf-like creatures, after being placed under a curse. In folklore, most werewolves originate from being cursed or bitten by another werewolf. That’s what they do believe. According many enthusiasts, there’s many different type of werewolves such as Alpha wolves, Beta wolves , Deltas, Elders, some survive as loners while others move in packs. How true it is no one knows. I do believe their existing . Many interesting stories related to these wolves in the past history.

Beautiful Dorje Shugden at Malacca. One should pay a visit there, located at a busy tourist place. It was such an auspicious occasion that a grand Puja was held there. Dedicated students and volunteers were there getting the place ready for the grand puja. Well the Grand Dorje Shugden puja was conducted by very own Kechara puja team to commemorate the chapel’s 3rd anniversary. Many people attended the Puja that’s wonderful to receive the powerful Protector Dorje Shugden blessings. More people will make a connection and get to know Manjushri, the Buddha of Wisdom, in the form of a Dharma Protector. May Dorje Shugden’s practice flourish to benefit those tourists and locals.

Venerable Geshe Rabten Rinpoche is a highly realised meditation master known as a debater, scholar, and meditation master, was the first Tibetan Buddhist master to introduce the complete Vinaya-tradition. He had also introduce the study of the five major topics of Buddhism to the West. He became the ‘path breaker’ of the complete and complex teachings of Buddhism in the West. Many masters, who are famous in the West today, were Geshe’s students. enerable Geshe Rabten. Geshe Rabten wrote the beautiful and Manjushri’s prayer called Gangloma and gave a profound explanation. We are so fortunate to learn about this Manjushri’s sacred prayer. May all be blessed by the practice of Lord Manjushri and Geshe Rabten’s explanation.

The begging bowl or alms bowl is one of the simplest but most important objects in the daily lives of Theravada Buddhist monks. The alms bowl still stands as an emblem of how all Buddhas, as numerous as grains of sand in the Ganges, practiced to end their desire. All those who receive the alms bowl should focus their mind to act with self-control and self-respect. Almsgiving is a tradition of Theravada Buddhists, majority in Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Laos. In those early days of Buddhism, monks would take their bowls and go out begging for food. As today in Thailand one could see monks woke up before dawn every morning and carried his bowl through the roads or paths wherever he was staying. Local people would place food in the bowl as a donation, through the generosity of lay people. They accept whatever food is offered for them and eat whatever been given, serve as a blessing for the giver.
One bowl has held the food of a thousand families. A solitary monastic travels on his journey of a hundred thousand miles seeking liberation from the cycle of birth and death.
Thank you H.E. Tsem Rinpoche for explaining the meaning of begging and gave us more reasons to be vegetarian . Create a awareness among us not killing animals to be one.

Ajahn Siripanyo, the son of billionaire Ananda Krishnan, chose to abandon his inheritance and become a Buddhist monk in pursuit of spirituality. A Thai-Malaysian monk born in London and educated in UK. He was ordained in Thailand and lived there, leaving behind a life of immense wealth and privilege. He did surprised many and his choice was unexpected. Initially as a temporary measure, but somehow later evolved into a permanent way of life. Ven. Ajahn Siripanyo is now the Abbot of hermitage Dtao Dam on the Thai-Burmese border in Saiyok National Park, Thailand.
He was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia years back giving an enthralling Dhamma talk on the timeless teachings of Ajahn Chah.

The Unknown

The Known and unknown are both feared,
Known is being comfortable and stagnant,
The unknown may be growth and opportunities,
One shall never know if one fears the unknown more than the known.
Who says the unknown would be worse than the known?
But then again, the unknown is sometimes worse than the known. In the end nothing is known unless we endeavour,
So go pursue all the way with the unknown,
because all unknown with familiarity becomes the known.

What the meat industry figured out is that you don't need healthy animals to make a profit.
Sick animals are more profitable... farms calculate how close to death they can keep animals without killing them. That's the business model. How quickly they can be made to grow, how tightly they can be packed, how much or how little can they eat, how sick they can get without dying... We live in a world in which it's conventional to treat an animal like a block of wood. ~ Jonathan Safran Foer
